Career Highlights
A brief karting history, the highlight of which was winning
the Karting Championship in Japan. Sato then moved to the UK and
began racing in the Vauxhall Junior, Formula Opel, European Formula
Opel and British Formula Championships to build a solid foundation
in racing. In 2001 he was rewarded when he won the British Formula
3 Championship, Zandvoort Formula 3 and International Formula 3.
He made his F1 debut in 2002 with Jordan performing well and often
outshining teammate Giancarlo Fisichella. In 2003 he joined BAR
as the 3rd driver and came 6th in the one race he sat.
2004 has been more promising also, but Sato still has a lot to
prove to fans and critics alike.
