Career Highlights

An exceptional karting record, Jenson Button is a three times British Open Kart Champion. He has also won the Italian ICA Senior title in 1995, the European Supercup A title in 1997 and the Ayrton Senna Memorial Cup.

Jenson Button turned to racing cars in 1998. In his first year he became the British Formula Ford Champion, and runner-up of European Formula Ford in 1998. Quickly progressing into F3 he achieved a pole position and 3 wins in the 1999 season.

In 2000 he signed to the Williams team and made his F1 debut in Australia, and finished in 8th position at the end of the season. 2001 saw him make a change to the Benetton Team and in his second season making good and consistent progress gaining an overall 7th position in the Driver's Championship 2002.

2003 saw Button move to BAR and season full of internal politics. However 2004 has seen a better Jenson Button with the potential to gain a win, perhaps even this season.
