Career Highlights
Giorgio Pantano holds an extensive Karting record
that includes winner of the Junior World Championship in 1993 and
1994; winner of the European Championship in 1995 and 1996; and
a number of national titles also. In 1998 Pantano also won the Paris
Bercy Cup.
Pantano progressed into Formula 3 racing and won the German F3
Championship in 2000. In 2001 he entered the F3000 and took a win
at Monza. He also began testing with McLaren. In 2002 Pantano switched
to testing for Williams and was runner-up of the FIA F3000 taking
3 wins in the series. 2003 saw another team change and another great
performance in the FIA F3000 to take 3rd place in the series.
Pantano signed to Jordan
this season and made his F1 debut in Melbourne and so far has enjoyed
a steady opening season.
