Career Highlights
Bruni started out in karting and after gaining a solid foundation
moved to Formula racing. In 1998 he became Champion of the Italian
Formula Renualt Campus and a year later took the European Formula
Renualt Championship title.
Gianmaria Bruni then started competing the British F3 Championship
and came in 5th in 2000. He improved on this in the 2001 series
enjoying a win and 6 podium positions and coming in at 4th place
overall. 2002 saw Bruni progress to the Euro 3000 series and in
2003 he achieved 3 wins and took 3rd place overall. He also became
the official test driver for Minardi
in 2003.
Bruni made his F1 debut in 2004 at Melbourne.
