Career Highlights
Fernando Alonso really established his racing career in
karting. He has won the Spanish Karting Championship in 1994, 1996
and 1997, as well being the World Karting Champion in 1996.
He then began racing in the F3000 Championship in 2000 and took
a win at Spa, as well as beocming the test driver for Minardi. He
made his debut in Melbourne in 2001.
He was quickly moved to Renault
in 2002 a s test driver, and in 2003 he was offered his first race
drive with Renault.
As well as 2 pole positions, he gained a win at Hungaroring - the
youngest F1 winner in history!
2004 has seen him continue to show his vast abilities and combined
with the new Renault
car indicates a great deal more success for Fernando Alonso.
